Université du Temps Libre La Garde-Le Pradet (UTL6) inaugurated its lecture season on September 8, in the main hall of Espace des Arts, which hosted the event this year in alternation with La Garde.

The association's board, led by its president Michèle Voyer, unveiled a dense and varied program for the 2026-2027 year, in the presence of several speakers and an audience mixing regulars and new faces.

Philosophy and history

Philippe Granarolo, philosopher, writer, and honorary president of UTL6, gave the first lecture and will do the same for the last one of the season. On September 22, at the Gérard Philipe auditorium in La Garde, he addressed the theme 'Love, desire, birth: from Platon to Otto Rank'. To close the season on May 11, 2027, he will offer a reflection on 'Individual serenity and collective harmony' at the Espace des Arts in Le Pradet.

Philippe Kieffer, the association's cinema specialist, will speak on the representations of childhood in cinema, and then paint a portrait of the director Agnès Varda.

Scientist Christian Gerini explained the issues of his lecture 'Science and its representations', questioning the actors and the purposes of popularizing science.
