It was in front of an assembly of 230 presidents and volunteers that the annual meeting of associations was held on June 26.

A highlight of local life that allowed the municipality to praise civic commitment, the cornerstone of the town's dynamism and social cohesion. The event highlighted the essential role of associations, described as true "artisans of living together".

A pillar of social cohesion

In a context where landmarks are fragmenting, the local associative world acts as a bulwark. François de Canson insisted on this unique gathering strength, capable of transcending age, origin, and social condition.

In a society where everything sometimes seems to fragment, the association remains one of the last places where people meet without distinction of age, origin, profession, or condition

The speech highlighted the invaluable contribution of hundreds of volunteers who give their time, share their skills, and pass on their passions in the fields of sports, culture, solidarity, or heritage preservation.

Without you, La Londe would not be quite La Londe

A partnership based on trust and high standards

Beyond words, the Municipality reaffirmed its concrete support through tangible actions. In recent years, significant investments have been made to modernize infrastructure: renovation of sports equipment, modernization of municipal halls, and creation of the Maison des Associations, which has become a central rallying point.

Financial support was also at the heart of the discussions. Presented as an "investment in the service of the general interest", municipal grants are allocated within a framework of transparency and rigor.

Our responsibility as elected officials is to ensure a fair, transparent, and efficient use of public funds

The strength of cooperation between associations and public services

The success of the many events that liven up the town relies on close collaboration between volunteers and municipal services. A warm tribute was paid to the agents of the Cultural, Communication, Technical, and municipal Police services, as well as the administrative services, whose work behind the scenes is deemed essential.

This synergy constitutes what has been called "the strength of the Londais model".

Supporting associative life is not an expense. It is an investment in what we have most precious: the human connection

The next major meeting for the associative world is set for Saturday, September 5, for the traditional Forum des associations, which will be preceded by a friendly dinner on Friday, September 4, in the Yann-Piat hall.
