A return to Toulon after a 3-month deployment
FREMM-DA Alsace back alongside after nearly 3 months of deployment in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.

The multi-mission frigate with enhanced air defence capability (FREMM-DA) Alsace returned to Toulon, her home port, after a mission of nearly three months in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. In early January, the FREMM-DA Alsace set sail from Toulon to relieve the FREMM Languedoc, which was then deployed in the area. She then operated within the European operation ASPIDES from its official launch in order to contribute to freedom of navigation and the protection of civil maritime traffic from Suez to Ormuz. During her deployment in the area, the Alsace escorted numerous civilian vessels during their transit and intercepted Houthi drones and missiles on several occasions, while maintaining a non-escalatory posture.
