100% success rate for students in the Marine nationale - Éducation nationale partnership making up the first BTS Mécatronique navale class.
The four best students obtain their diploma with an overall average of over 16/20, including the top national student with over 19/20. This partnership, unique in France, associates the teachers, instructors, and training platforms of the Pôle Écoles Méditerranée (PEM) and the lycée de la Coudoulière (Six-Fours-les-Plages). This total success is the result of the constant investment and full commitment of the students and educational teams of the PEM and the lycée de la Coudoulière in setting up this new course.
The PEM supports students in their studies and in their project to enlist in the Marine in the fields of energy (conventional and nuclear) and naval propulsion. Almost all of the students in the partnership have chosen to enlist in the Marine nationale. Upon leaving the École de Maîstrance (the petty officers' school), they will embark as a priority on board the latest generation frigates and submarines.
The BTS mécatronique navale gives them access to an accelerated professional path within the Marine, while gaining a diploma from the Éducation nationale.
QUALIFYING TRAINING The BTS Mécatronique navale is offered to high school graduates, as part of a partnership between the Éducation nationale and the Marine nationale. This specialty leads to the profession of onboard mechatronics technician. The technician ensures the operation and maintenance of onboard electrical, mechanical, and digital automated systems as well as their integration.
It combines skills in the fields of power systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.), automation, and industrial computing.
This BTS is valued within the Marine nationale. Once enlisted, the graduate student benefits from a double Marine nationale certification in the fields of Mechanics and Electrotechnics. Their career is accelerated. This pathway opens up to internal professional continuing education, recognized at Licence and Master levels.
All schooling is under the boarding school system. Registration is subject to the fitness for enlistment (French nationality and physically fit). An initial contact with CIRFA is important to prepare the project.
