The Flottille de Perfectionnement du Surfacier is operational

PLEASE NOTE... On July 3, under the presidency of vice-amiral d'escadre (VAE) Christophe Cluzel, admiral commanding the Force d'Action Navale, the crew of the GTR/T was congratulated for its innovative and pugnacious work on the occasion of the launch of the FPS/T, putting an end to more than ten years of activity of the Groupes de Transformation et de Renfort (GTR), whose main role was to train and support the crews of the frégates multi-missions (FREMM) with single and double crews.

The creation of the FPS/T meets the need to accelerate the skills development of sailors of the Force d'Action Navale (FAN) of the Toulon coast, in view of current operational challenges and in a context of the ramp-up of the Formation Continue Modularisée (FCM), while maintaining a close link with the divisions of the État-major de la Force d'action navale (EM ALFAN) and the specialty schools of the Marine (ESTLN, ESCO). To do this, the FPS/T can rely on innovative pedagogical tools (simulators based on virtual/augmented reality, for example) and the dynamism of the FAN innovation laboratory in Toulon, which is hosted within it. Over the coming year, the FPS/T will focus on specific training for the FREMM and bâtiment ravitailleur de forces (BRF), as well as on monitoring sailors with the specialty of détecteurs anti sous-marins (DEASM) in the FCM curriculum.

Future students will thus be able to benefit from an environment conducive to the development of their professional skills and will adopt the new motto of the FPS/T: "Learn and conquer". The FPS/T welcomes you within the Toulon naval base – îlot Castigneau.
