Many tourism arguments that Philippe Leonelli wanted to present to the préfet: "I am very happy to welcome today the préfet du Var as well as the sous-préfète of the arrondissement of Draguignan, Myriam Garcia, for a working meeting dedicated to the major projects of our municipality, the Coeur de Ville project as well as the Port Heraclea Cavalaire project for which we received the warmest congratulations of the préfet who said he was ready to support us in the search for other funding," rejoiced Philippe Leonelli. The mayor added: "The prefectoral visit ended with the discovery of our Maison de la nature, 'L'Usine - Maison de la nature' which generated a lot of enthusiasm for its virtuous realization, ecologically speaking. Moreover, the préfet made a commitment to come back and see us in the autumn and the sous-préfète should receive us at the start of the school year for a working meeting to support us in our subsidy requests." From the Maison de la nature, summer visitors and locals from Var can stroll along the various paths of the golfe de Saint-Tropez. It also constitutes a stage of the route for people who take the 'Voie verte' (a developed coastal cycle path allowing the discovery of Var by bicycle). "The objective is to offer visitors and residents of Cavalaire a wide choice of walks and hikes in the massif, integrating an often unrecognized cultural and historical aspect. Guided tours, provided by coastal guards, are offered departing from the Maison de la nature," recalls Philippe Leonelli. Finally, given the location of the site, the Maison de la nature plays an essential role in meeting and sharing management expertise related to fire risk in the Mediterranean massif.
