A larger leisure center in La Capelle
On July 25, the Municipalité inaugurated new premises to expand the capacity of the La Capelle leisure center. Excellent news...

In fact, this expansion is a response to the growing demand from families in La Farlède. Children have been enjoying these new spaces since July 8, the first day of the holidays.
LANDSCAPING OF THE SURROUNDINGS

In order to welcome a larger number of children and offer them a modern and adapted environment, two rooms were built, adding 120 m2 to the existing infrastructure. This extension is located to the north-east of the leisure center's plot and consists of modular structures combining metal and concrete. The painted wood facades blend harmoniously into the environment," says Yves Palmiéri, the mayor, who took part in the inauguration alongside Robert Berti, deputy for works, and Anne-Laure Excoffon-Jolly, deputy for youth. The mayor adds: "To carry out this project, the Espaces verts service redesigned the site and transplanted three plane mulberry trees initially located within the footprint of the new construction. A plant hedge, made of bamboo, was added along the fences to guarantee a visual separation from neighboring properties and to preserve the privacy of residents and children. In addition, four hackberry trees were planted to bring shade and freshness to the site.

INCREASED RECEPTION CAPACITY
In practical terms, this expansion increases the center's capacity, from 160 to 200 children starting this summer. This represents a larger offer of places for families looking for childcare solutions during school holiday periods.

An initiative that demonstrates the Municipalité's commitment to investing in the well-being of the children of La Farlède and their families.
Cost of the work:

The cost of this project amounts to €367,150 excl. VAT. €267,418 in subsidies have been requested from the Caisse d’allocations familiales du.
