An excellent vintage in perspective at Domaine de Favanquet

Taken over by a team of friends, the estate is managed using organic farming methods and is committed to an increasingly eco-responsible cultivation. "Protected by the hills and swept by the mistral, our vines allow us to produce subtle and balanced wines in all three colors (rosé, red, and white)," explains Pierre Mosser, managing partner, winemaker, and oenologist. He adds: "The harvest took place in good conditions, although this year, we had to harvest partly at night due to the high heat, as it has consequences for the staff and the grapes." At the end of the harvest, the Domaine collected 650 hectolitres, vinified at the Cave des Vignerons Londais, representing 80,000 bottles. "We are expecting an excellent vintage, given the quality of the harvest. We should have wines with freshness and a low alcohol level. We owe a lot of this to the sea, as it helps maintain the freshness that prevents the grapes from overripening," concludes the oenologist.
