He was then assigned, in 2010 and 2011, aboard the patrol vessel La Rieuse, based in La Réunion, with which he participated in several operations to combat illegal immigration, fight piracy, and police fisheries in the southern Indian Ocean zone.
ARROMANCHES 2 AND CHAMMAL
In the summer of 2011, he joined the submarine forces and served successively as department head on the nuclear attack submarines Perle and Émeraude, aboard which he carried out several patrols in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. He entered the school of combat systems and naval weapons and obtained, in 2014, a certificate in the specialty of "undersea warfare". Assigned to the nuclear attack submarine Saphir in 2015 and 2016, he held the positions of department head of "weapons" then "undersea warfare" for two years. Onboard this unit, he participated in the ARROMANCHES 2 mission, escorting the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, as part of Operation CHAMMAL. In 2016 and 2017, he served as deputy commander of operations for the nuclear attack submarines Saphir and then Perle. Deployed to the North Atlantic theater, he participated in anti-submarine security missions in support of nuclear deterrence. Admitted to the École des Applications Militaires de l'Énergie Atomique in 2018, he obtained his nuclear engineer certificate, "operational" option. He commanded the public service patrol vessel Pluvier and participated in State Action at Sea and Territorial Maritime Defense missions in the English Channel and North Sea zone from July 2018 to September 2019. He then joined the École de Navigation Sous-Marine as head of the "operations" instruction group before serving as executive officer of the nuclear attack submarine Rubis from June 2020 to June 2022, then as commander until his withdrawal from active service in December 2022. He notably participated in the CLEMENCEAU 22 mission as part of Operation CHAMMAL. He then took command of the nuclear attack submarine Perle, red crew, from January 2023 to January 2024, and participated in an anti-submarine security mission in the "Grand Nord" operational theater. He then served as a training officer within the staff of the nuclear attack submarine squadron. He was responsible for training and qualifying crews prior to their operational deployment.
