During the two years of command of Commander Matthieu Teisseire, the 30 sailors of Crew A of the Beautemps-Beaupré took part in several operational missions in the Atlantique, Méditerranée, and Océan Indien. The crew carried out the 1st CALLIOPE seabed warfare mission in October 2022 in the French maritime approaches. The vessel also collected numerous environmental data for the benefit of the aeromaritime forces. It was thus deployed in 2022 in the Grand Nord as part of a Narval mission. In 2023, it led the most distant mission ever carried out since its entry into active service in 2003, as it operated from Brest to the détroit Malacca, notably with a major hydrographic campaign in cooperation with the Marine indonésienne. Originally from Château-Thierry, Commander Dimitri Bertheau graduated from the 2006 class of the École navale and is a graduate of the 29th class of the école de guerre. He is married and the father of three children. He spent most of his career in the submarine forces, with numerous operational deployments in the Atlantique, the Méditerranée, and the océan Indien. He participated in two JEANNE D’ARC campaigns in 2017 and 2018 as an instructor at the École d’application des officiers de marine. From 2020 to 2021, he served aboard the Beautemps-Beaupré as executive officer, during which time he was deployed in the mer Rouge and the océan Indien. For the past two years, and after his studies at the école de guerre, Commander Bertheau was assigned to the Direction des affaires financières of the ministère des Armées.
