Since the beginning of the year, the UCPL program has known no respite. The new 2024-2025 season started strong with the Forum des associations on September 7. Previously, the club increased its trips and stays, in addition to the three classic weekly outings throughout the year.

MANY ACTIVITIES "Thus, at the end of May, the UCPL organized a trip to Paris for the Olympic Games (11 participants). Then, the Londais went to Soleihas in early June (12 participants). They participated in the Ardèchoise in mid-June with 5 participants," recalls the president.

He adds: "In mid-June, the club also left for the Pyrénées with 17 participants, then, in early July, it held a downhill weekend in Montclard with 14 young people and supervisors. The program continued, in mid-July, with a hiking stay in Pralognan and at the end of July for the Semaine jeunes in Montgenèvre with 6 young people. The club also registered for the Semaine Fédérale route in Roanne (Loire) with 8 participants.

Finally, in mid-September, the club was engaged for three days in La Drômoise with 9 participants.

The year 2025 already promises to be busy, especially since, during the Forum des Associations, many cycling enthusiasts showed interest in our activities. To date, 12 athletes have already taken out their membership."

President Larose explains the success of the UCPL and the associations by the significant support of the City, starting with that of François de Canson, the mayor: "It is very comfortable for the associations because they receive the unwavering support of the elected officials. This support takes the form of financial aid with grants, and material and logistical assistance when organizing events. This allows us to live peacefully and fulfill our social role by keeping volunteering alive and participating in the many activities organized in town (Téléthon, Nature en Fête, Maurin des Maures, etc.)
