Since September 1st, during an exceptional Mass in the Saint-Louis church, presided over by Monsignor Guy Casseron, the reading of the nomination letter of Pierre Pommeret, signed by Bishop François Touvet, coadjutor of the diocese of Fréjus-Toulon, was made. CANON LAW During this official moment, we noted the presence of numerous parish priests from the deanery, the first deputy mayor, Charlotte Bouvard representing the mayor, Gil Bernardi, the priest's parents, Eric and Casilda Pommeret, who came from Touraine and, of course, many friends and parishioners from Le Lavandou and Var parishes where the priest has ministered. Father Pierre Pommeret has thus become administrator of the Saint-Louis parish with the related duties, obligations, and powers in accordance with the Code of Canon Law.

Deeply moved, the clergyman confided: "Let me seize the opportunity of this somewhat special Mass to tell you first of all of the love in my priest's heart for each and every one of you. Yes, mysteriously, I carry all of you, without exception, in my heart. I pray for you, and even, I dare say very timidly, I would like to offer myself entirely for you!"

"(...) Our greatest sadness, our greatest suffering as priests, is very probably to have so often let someone approach us without them being able to taste this love that God has placed in us."

WORTH NOTING... After a beginning of his career in the audiovisual sector, in 2011, Father Pierre Pommeret, originally from the Paris region, entered the seminary of La Castille in the Var.

In 2021, he confirmed his priestly commitment with his ordination as a Marian priest for the Divine Mercy, beginning his diaconal ministry in Brignoles, Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, and Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume before being appointed priest in the Mourillon district in Toulon.
