Thus, on a local level, the mayor detailed the good economic news during the New Year's wishes ceremony on January 7 at the Yann-Piat hall: 'This establishment of Naval Group represents a major strategic opportunity for local, and even departmental and national economic development. It brings numerous prospects, particularly in terms of creating direct and indirect jobs, strengthening industrial skills in the Defense sector, and boosting the local economy thanks to the spin-offs generated by the company's activity.'

LIDL AND MCDONALD'S The mayor added: 'This project also reflects the growing attractiveness of the area for renowned industrial players, and has an ambitious environmental aspect, demonstrating the group's commitment to sustainable development. The project includes the implementation of a plan to preserve and enhance the surrounding natural spaces, in order to protect local biodiversity, as well as taking into account the phenomenon of rainwater runoff.

2025 is also a strong economic moment with the relocation of a supermarket on the site of the former 'Rallye'. This site will contribute to the competitiveness of the commercial offer in the area. This discounter-type supermarket will meet a large part of the expectations in terms of food consumption.

Of course, I do not forget, among the good news that will mark the coming months, the highly anticipated opening of a McDonald's restaurant by families, in the Migraniers area. By employing several dozen people, the restaurant will offer job opportunities, especially for young people, who are often looking for their first professional experience.'

EXEMPLARY COMMUNE Next, the president of MPM insisted: 'We will continue, in 2025, to build an exemplary municipality, where it is good to live and grow. The past years have been marked by challenges, but also by great progress.

Beyond the program that contributed to our election, I think it is essential to take into account new needs that are emerging, the change in our ways of living, and evolving mindsets in order to, if necessary, undertake new projects or modify certain existing ones. We owe these successes to our collective capacity to mobilize, to work together with a focus on proximity. It is this concern for proximity, this search for dialogue that allows us to stay as close as possible to the needs and legitimate expectations of the Londais.

It translates into a presence on the ground, a direct and sincere relationship with each and every one of you, and a constant desire to feel the heartbeat of this town.

As for responsiveness, I have made it my hobby horse! Responsiveness is the essential complement to proximity, and it, too, guides our day-to-day action.'

VILLAGE SPIRIT For the mayor, beyond the projects and work that the municipality has benefited from, it is the human connections that count and this village spirit that is important to maintain: 'These are the simple and courteous exchanges we have at the market, on a street corner, or in a public meeting. These are the moments when we can be there, for each other, to share a smile, an idea, a support. This village spirit is that of a town that redoubles its efforts to reduce economic difficulties or isolation of its inhabitants thanks to an increasingly attentive municipal social action center.

This village spirit is about coming together within a renovated church, a symbol of our attachment to our heritage, and whose stone walls, coming from Pansard, are filled with memories, loaded with the memory of our friend Christian Fabre, municipal councillor, who left us this year.'
