With the César des Lycéens, terminale students from the Lycée du Coudon were able to discover the five favorite films of the Césars 2025, chosen for their artistic quality and cultural impact. They thus took part in a unique experience by voting for the film they believe to be the best. Year after year, the César des Lycéens opens doors for younger generations, allowing them to explore cinematographic art from an angle that is both fun and educational.

CINEMA WORLD At the beginning of March, terminale students taking the cinema-audiovisual option participated in the long-awaited vote. Prior to this event, the high school students watched the films in competition and immersed themselves in in-depth analysis work. Thus, projects were created such as film presentation teasers, analysis and review podcasts, allowing each student to express their opinion and develop their critical skills.

The students chose to reward "Le Comte de Monte-Cristo", a film that particularly left an impression on them. • Le Comte de Monte-Cristo, Blanche, a terminale student, explains: "I chose this film because I really appreciated the soundtrack, the sets, and the landscapes. The era was very well recreated thanks to the costume work.

The story was captivating and kept me on the edge of my seat until the end! The cast was also exceptional. Pierre Niney headlining, but also other lesser-known but equally talented actors!

This film adaptation of the novel is, for me, a success."

The young woman was also won over by Miséricorde, a film with offbeat tones that amused her greatly. "This feature film has nothing to do with my first choice, but the humorous and burlesque side of the closed-door drama in a village caught my attention." • Miséricorde.

STRONGER BOND This project, led by cinema teachers Mme Giannoni and Mme Colangelo, aims to raise awareness among young people about the importance of cinema culture. It invites them to reflect on the themes addressed in the films, analyze the directing, observe the actors' performances, and decipher the messages conveyed by these works. Thus, the students enrich their reflection while developing a finer and more nuanced appreciation of cinema.

Beyond the simple vote, this project allows them to forge a stronger bond with cinema culture, offering them an enriching and participatory experience.

By putting themselves in the shoes of a Festival de Cannes jury, the students discover the process of selecting and recognizing a cinematographic work. This project offers them a unique opportunity to develop their critical thinking and artistic sensitivity.
