High school students discover Navy training programs

These partnership training programs serve to acquire technical and human skills while preparing for enlistment, and to boost the career that follows. During this day, the training programs delivered at the Pôle Écoles Méditerranée will be presented by members of the civilian teaching and military management teams, as well as through exchanges with students from the offered courses. For the BTS and specialization certificate, students prepare for their diploma within a partner institution in the Toulon region (high school or university). The Marine provides accommodation on base, academic support, military training in a unique setting, and financial support conditional on the commitment to enlist. During this day, high school students were able to talk with students already enlisted in partnership, with representatives from partner high schools, with members of the management team at the PEM, and with the CIRFA (Navy recruitment) who answered questions related to training, administrative procedures, etc. They were also able to visit the teaching spaces and discover state-of-the-art educational equipment: an instructional platform dedicated to highly automated vessels, an electrical power plant coupling simulator, and state-of-the-art sports facilities. Finally, the high school students also discovered the PEM site and its boarding school.
THE TRAINING PROGRAMS OFFERED BY THE PEM COVER THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
• BTS naval mechatronics (BTS MN); • BTS fluids, home automation energies, home automation and communicating buildings (BTS FED); • BTS systems maintenance, production systems (BTS MS); • BTS cybersecurity, IT and electronic networks (BTS CIEL); • BTS industrial control and automatic regulation (BTS CIRA); • BTS design of product realization processes (BTS CPRP); • BTS electrotechnics (BTS ELT); • Specialization certificate in naval mechatronics (CS MN). • Vocational Baccalaureate MELEC (Electricity and Connected Environments Trades) starting from the 2025 school year and CIEL (Cybersecurity, IT and network, Electronics) starting from September 2026.
