A home service for ID cards

Despite logistical difficulties and constraints, this home service demonstrates the commitment of the Ville and its services to the most vulnerable citizens. An initiative set up to guarantee access to public service for all.

The procedure is carried out by the population service and is conducted under the control of the services of the préfecture du Var. The process is heavy and complex due to binding logistics (centralized equipment, travel, mobilization of staff for each request, from the evaluation of the situation to the delivery of the document). The team is invested in this mission and ensures the quality of the process dedicated to ID cards.

Three Borméens benefited from this procedure after making their request in advance by mail. These requests were reviewed by the assigned agent before any home visit.

René Hideux, unable to travel: “While he was obliged to renew his national identity card for various administrative documents, my husband can, unfortunately, only go from his armchair to his bed,” shared his wife Brigitte, who discovered this new service from the Ville. Satisfied with this great initiative, she added: “We were in contact with very pleasant staff and we are very happy to have been able to have this official document renewed under very good conditions under the supervision of a municipal agent.”
