DOM Also, the Région Sud, thanks to Hervé Stassinos, mayor of Le Pradet and regional councillor, has selected the industrial transformation project of DOM (Distribution Organes Mécaniques). Thus, a grant of €200,000 has been awarded to it to modernize its production facilities. And, on April 24, the mayor and Philippe Mahé, prefect of Var, visited the company's premises.

30 YEARS OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS "Selected as part of the "Industrie du Futur" scheme supported by the Région Sud, the company has committed to a profound transformation aiming to reduce its environmental impact and reindustrialize its production and innovation processes. The company will thus benefit from this financial support over five years. This is a first for this company, which had never requested external funding.

The objective is to consolidate its position on the market, accelerate its industrial transition and reinforce its capacity for innovation," explains Hervé Stassinos.

He adds: "Indeed, for over 30 years, DOM has been designing and manufacturing tension systems for chains and belts intended for industrial applications. A highly technical niche market, in which only six companies in the world are positioned. Founded in 1993 by Bernard Daum, the company has progressively grown to become a recognized SME.

In 2002, his son Romain Daum took over its general management and, in 2018, set up the company in premises of over 1,000 m² in Le Pradet."

STRATEGIC TURNING POINT "Specializing in power transmission, DOM offers a wide range of industrial components. It supplies the entire French market and currently exports to 27 countries," recalls its young manager.

In 2024, a strategic turning point begins. Thanks to its commitment to the "Sud Industrie 4.0 Carbone" program, the SME is rethinking its development.

An ambitious modernization project is taking shape. Thus, DOM is developing a more efficient manufacturing and machining workshop aimed at optimizing its production line and responding with greater responsiveness to the specific demands of its clients.

"And what next? DOM is already working on new products, including a "smart" industrial tensioner, and aims to strengthen its international commercial activity. A promising momentum, which should also favor job creation in a sector still little known in our territory," concludes the business owner.
