Goal of 100% fiber connections by the end of 2025
In the Méditerranée Porte des Maures (MPM) territory, the rollout continues based on an acceleration plan developed by DSP cooperators...

The goal is for residents (year-round or second-home owners) to benefit from the public network so they can use fiber instead of ADSL. MPM has 21,801 primary residences and 21,840 second homes, representing a significant portion of the target audience, alongside year-round residents. In March, the four municipalities with a high rate of second homes recorded a penetration rate of less than 50%. Therefore, MPM, in partnership with Var TDH and the 4 market operators (Bouygues, Orange, SFR and Free), organized 5 fiber forums in the territory (La Londe-les-Maures, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Le Lavandou, Collobrières, Pierrefeudu-Var and Cuers, representing 46,000 residents).
IMPROVING THE ADOPTION RATE

The forums were therefore a great opportunity for the public to find answers regarding connection or report technical difficulties, and to meet operators to learn about available offers. To date, MPM benefits from a fiber coverage rate of around 96%, the result of a rollout carried out in recent years. But the fiber adoption rate still needs to improve. Only 40.1% of the serviced premises have subscribed to a fiber offer. The goal is therefore to facilitate the transition to fiber to achieve coverage for all year-round occupied homes as well as second homes (around 50% of dwellings) and businesses, and to support the gradual shutdown of the copper or ADSL network in the coming years.
The fiber penetration rate in the MPM territory: • CCMPM: 40.1% • Lavandou: 26.9% • La Londe-les-Maures: 45.2% • Bormes-les-Mimosas: 33% • Cuers: 58.8% • Collobrières: 34% • Pierrefeu-du-Var: 57.4%
