The former copper mines of Cap Garonne, located just a stone's throw from Toulon, are undoubtedly the most famous deposit in Provence. With 133 different minerals listed, including extremely rare specimens, this site attracts researchers from all over the world.

Christian Garnier, president of the museum, details the Esprit Parc label: 'It is intended for products, services, and community association activities located in the municipalities belonging to the Parc national de Port Cros. These actions respect a certain number of the Parc's criteria, such as the enhancement and preservation of natural sites. The mine museum has been involved in this action for a long time, so it was only natural to formalize our membership.
Especially since we are an excellent relay for the Parc's actions in terms of communication and the promotion of tourism activities close to our environment. The tourist practice of our museum is the best suited to respecting the preservation of the site. For example, we have a limited capacity of 100 people over an area of 6,000 m² and we operate all year round, which allows us to spread the influx of visitors throughout the year.'
