The town celebrated the world of fishing
Each year, the Saint-Pierre festival pays tribute to fishermen and those lost at sea.

A former fishermen's quarter, the town perpetuates a tradition dear to its residents with the Saint-Pierre festival. The religious service, celebrated by Father Pierre Pomeret in the Saint-Louis church, brought together the mayor and representatives of the municipal council. This solemn ceremony marked the beginning of the festivities. After the service, a procession wound through the town, led by the folk group « Lei Jouvent » of Draguignan and the bravadeurs of Vidauban. The crowd then boarded motorboats to throw flowers into the sea and for the blessing of the boats present with their sailors. Under a radiant sun, the delegation, made up of Lavandourains and a few tourists, gathered for an aperitif served in front of the prud’homie by the municipal services. This convivial moment was an opportunity to share a time of joy and communion.
