In short, a place dedicated to the love of books and the French language, where the younger generation will strengthen their knowledge thanks to this new and rich cultural palette, leaving the scent of ink and paper lingering within its walls.
'Many activities are planned around reading in a program aimed particularly at young readers,' confirmed the first deputy mayor. For this facility, the Département lent 3,000 books and the managing Municipality invested €350,000.
It plans a second phase since the first floor will be used to set up a media library.
Practical info: The municipal library, under the responsibility of librarian Maud Lacroix, is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is located at the corner of avenue des Commandos d'Afrique and rue de La Rigourette.
Registration is free for Lavandourains with proof of address and identity card.
