The two mayors recalled how happy they were to highlight what cements a large part of living well together while enriching the municipalities with shared passion and varied initiatives. Thus, the first magistrate of Le Lavandou thanked the presidents, coaches, and members of local and intercommunal associations for the "Ville active et sportive" label, presented by the Minister of Sports: "Thank you to these people who promote sport, who teach it, who embody it while providing the training without which we could not have claimed this distinction (...). It is this beautiful team spirit that has been illustrated with this label. Thank you to the residents of Le Lavandou and Bormes for their commitment, collectively or individually." This recognition was addressed to the numerous actions of these men and women who, with great nobility of soul, know how to put themselves at the service of others. Such as, for example, Animaux sans frontière, the Croix-Rouge, the SNSM, the CCFF, and the Souvenir Français. Finally, Town medals were presented for these supportive, patriotic, sporting, and cultural commitments.
