Several members of the municipal team and Hubert Larose, president of the UCPL were also present. During this end-of-season meeting, it was agreed to appoint Jackie Leprêtre, honorary president of the club, in tribute to his work for the development of hiking in the Var. Although he has completed his 9-year mandate on the Conseil d'administration, he remains responsible for organizing the club's events and outdoor outings.

ALREADY 10 YEARS! President Louis Llorca recalled that in September 2026, the club will celebrate its 10th anniversary: "I would like to thank its founder Jackie Leprêtre, as well as the entire team that supported him at the time. We all have the responsibility to continue the work started in 2016.

Therefore, the Conseil d'administration will reflect on the different ways to mark this event on a sporting and festive level."

President: Louis LLORCA, The general assembly also allowed for an assessment of the past season. After 9 years of existence, the club remains an active and dynamic association that maintains its membership level, as the president pointed out: "As of August 31, 2025, our association had 133 members (132 in 2024). As of September 1, 2025, we had 12 departures, which allowed us to recruit 15 new members.

Furthermore, during the season, 78 outings were carried out. They gathered more than 1,655 people. All participants were supervised by certified and experienced guides. In addition, an outdoor hiking trip was organized on the plateau du Larzac in early June and brought together 39 participants."

QUESTIONS ON SUPERVISION In the association's report, we can also note a few festive meals which were widely successful with more than 432 participants. However, a question arises acutely among the leaders in terms of supervision: "Is it sufficient?" asked Louis Llorca. "Indeed, while the club's strong point is to offer 3 levels of hiking to members, a few additional guides are essential to supervise outings on a two-month schedule.

"I remind you that our priority remains the safety of the participants," warned the president.

Then, evoking the objectives for the 2025/2026 season, he added: "The season resumed on September 18 with three outings, gathering more than 70 people. The hikes remain scheduled on Thursdays on three levels with a quarterly cultural hiking outing on Sundays as well as two outdoor trips planned for mid-January 2026 at the station du Sauze (04) (snowshoeing) and late May 2026 at the station des Angles (66) (mountain hiking). In addition, the association lent its support to several other municipal events, including the "Défi des Vignes," during the Téléthon day on Saturday, December 6, for the "Maurin des Maures" in April 2026, and for "Nature en fête" in early May 2026."

Finally, the club proceeded with the election of members to the Conseil d'administration. The CA is composed of a maximum of 8 members and a minimum of 5. 4 members are outgoing in 2025, including two ineligible for re-election and two others eligible. 2 female members of the club had submitted their candidacy to respect gender parity.
