TOULON COMMITTEE Throughout the year, Les Blouses Roses stand out for their voluntary commitment. "In addition to their regular visits to hospitals and retirement homes, the association's members make handcrafted objects which are then sold at various events. This helps raise funds to finance shows, outings, and gifts for the people they visit," highlights Catherine Lemonnier, an active member of the association.

MARKET STAND She adds: "For example, we have a stand at the La Londe-les-Maures market, thanks to the kindness of François de Canson, the mayor, who has been offering us this spot for three years. Visitors discover a variety of handmade items, ranging from fabric bags to baby items, as well as resin, clay, and decorated porcelain creations, along with jewelry and keyrings. Each volunteer uses their skills to contribute to our actions."

A national organization, Les Blouses Roses have their headquarters in Paris and have several local committees. Their goal is to bring joy to the daily lives of vulnerable people. "To finance our projects, volunteers participate in events—markets, book fairs—and have a gift-wrapping stand at the Smyths Toys store, where customers can donate whatever they wish in exchange for their services," Catherine Lemonnier continues.

In 2023, the actions were numerous and varied. For instance, Les Blouses Roses offered a weekend at Euro Disney to patients from the San Salvador hospital. On the occasion of Mother's Day, gifts were distributed to mothers living in retirement homes.

For children, animal activities and Christmas shows are regularly organized, as well as concerts in retirement homes. At Easter and Christmas, Les Blouses Roses also offer chocolates. Furthermore, on October 12, the association was at the craft market organized by Association Plurielle 83 in La Seyne-sur-Mer.
