Robert Semelle: 'Here, culture continues its ascent'!
From October 3 to 5, 'l’Automne des peintres' was a great success.

Indeed, this third edition attracted a large public during the three days of exhibition of the works at the freshly renovated Yann-Piat hall. 'The cultural service organized this event under the leadership of Stéphanie Lombardo, municipal councilor delegated to culture. 56 local or regional artists were present and all, each in their own style, managed to touch and move the visitors,' welcomed François de Canson on the occasion of the award ceremony. This 2025 edition kept all its promises since more than 1,000 people walked the aisles of the Yann-Piat hall to discover all the richness and diversity of the talents of the painters present. An opinion shared by Robert Semelle, our special correspondent at the exhibition, who shares his impressions: 'In various styles - oil, watercolors, acrylic - and also in other materials, we shared their passions just like many visitors. Artists who came from La Londe, Var, other departments and even from abroad with a painter from Québec and another originally from Ukraine! Moreover, I noted an increasing female participation and frankly the choice of works for the Jury was difficult. The works represented great eclecticism and were of a very beautiful quality.' 'These three days were a wonderful opportunity to highlight the richness and diversity of the artists of La Londe and the surrounding areas. The jury and public prizes moreover perfectly illustrated this, by honoring the quality and sensitivity of their works,' concludes the first magistrate. As a prelude to the exhibition, the public was able to attend a lecture recounting the history of the Fondation Maeght, represented by Yoyo, the granddaughter of Aimé Maeght. This meeting was organized by the Atelier d'Art Londais and Colette Degenne at the Maison des Associations.
