The magic of street theatre delights spectators
Under a late-season sun, the 12th Street Theatre Festival took place amidst a whirlwind of autumn leaves.
A traditional Toussaint event, the festival welcomed, over two days, actors, magicians, and musicians who took over the streets and small squares of the village. Free performances offered moments of sharing, blending burlesque, comedy, and magic, presented by 14 artistic companies. These shows, both stationary and roaming, were highly appreciated by a family crowd that did not hide its delight.
Take, for instance, the testimony of this couple, who came from the Paris region with their three children, and commented on these moments of joy: "It's wonderful to walk around and find so many activities in every corner of the town, especially during the Toussaint holidays. The children are delighted, and this year, we enjoyed beautiful weather. It feels just like summer.
It really does you good!"
Following in the footsteps of town crier Kevin Dylan, the virtual curtain rose on artists, each more eclectic than the last. The theatre companies: • "Gosses du Rythme", "Prospéro", "La tribu des Burners", "Les biscottes et des dresseuses", "Les demi-frères Grumaux", "La brigade estivale", "Les Duolympique", "Claudio Matuzzi (Trici et Street Coffee", "Bella Pop Corn", "L'Orgarêve et ses joyeux nuages", "Le monde magique des bulles".
