When the City "pampers" its seniors!
In October, the CCAS prepared a special program of activities for retirees.

Thus, the team of Cathy Baschieri, deputy mayor in charge of seniors, offered them numerous activities, combining body and mind care, a song show, and a getaway to Italy. "This event is highly appreciated and began with the "Journées Bien-Être", organized over three days. We attach great importance to the concept of aging well in La Londe. Doing sports, staying alert, sharing moments, and maintaining both body and mind are all activities that the Ville and the CCAS offer throughout the year," recalls François de Canson, mayor of La Londe-les-Maures.
TAKING CARE OF ONESELF

Thus, these "Journées Bien-Être" offered many individual sessions (massages, facial, hand, or foot care, shiatsu, foot reflexology) and group workshops on letting go, yoga, meditation, or discussion circles. Galatée Rocher, director of the CCAS, adds: "These days were designed as a precious break, inviting our seniors to refocus on themselves, to reconnect with the well-being of body and mind. After a life often guided by the demands of daily life, it is a gentle re-learning that allows one to take care of oneself to serenely welcome retirement." "Octobre Bleu was also two other free events, with an exceptional musical show revisiting the great voices of French and international song from the 50s to the 80s and a day trip to Vintimille," adds, once again, the mayor. Indeed, in La Londe-les-Maures, seniors receive every attention, thanks to an active CCAS committed to fighting their isolation and offering them friendly moments throughout the year.
