Musical notes to warm young hearts

KIWANIS ILES D'OR Two musicians, Yann on the double bass and Margaux on the guitar, offered Christmas carols to the young patients in the playroom before moving to the rooms to share their music up close with the children. This simple yet warm gesture illustrates the association's mission, which is to visit the pediatric and neonatology hospital departments for three weekly hours of music, bringing a bubble of gentleness and joy to the children, their families, and the healthcare staff.

On this occasion, the Kiwanis Îles d'Or club, a long-standing partner, presented a generous donation allowing Phonambule to improve patient comfort and encourage live music at the bedside of hospitalized children. For its part, the Phonambule association has been bringing music to life in hospitals in Toulon and elsewhere in the Var for 25 years.

In 2025, 14 musicians increased their interventions, going in duos to the bedside of patients in 39 hospital departments, from pediatrics to geriatrics, including maternity and child psychiatry, for a total of 300 interventions.
