In December, the association, which works under the theme "History and Heritage of the Gendarmerie", gathered its members at the Espace Bouchonnerie for its annual general meeting in the presence of many participants, reflecting the local area's commitment to preserving the heritage of the gendarmerie and the values it embodies.

In the presence of: Thus, Nicolas Moulin, president of the ACSPMG, recalled the essential missions of the association: "Our objective is to safeguard the tangible and intangible traces of the history of the gendarmerie, both at the national level and in our department, to promote them to the public, and to strengthen the bond between generations. We will continue this work this year in synergy with our partners in upcoming memorial and heritage initiatives."

This general meeting also put the issue of heritage protection in its broadest sense (archives, historical objects, emblematic sites requiring enhanced preservation, etc.) at the forefront. In 2025, this commitment to memory and heritage was recognized with the award of the medal of the Ville de Carnoules and that of the Département in La Valette, alongside the Comité d'entente des associations patriotiques (CEAP).

President Moulin continued: "A particular emphasis was placed on the association's growing commitment to the cadets de la gendarmerie. The historical presentations offered as part of their training constitute a valuable tool for transmitting the memory, traditions, and values of the institution to the younger generation. Over the last two years, alongside the Souvenir Français, we have been partners in hosting the "Defense and Memory" focus of phase 2 of the SNU at the Centre Village Passion de la Bayette in Le Pradet."

Numerous memorial initiatives were launched, which clearly engaged the audience." Taking the floor, the elected officials praised the dynamism of the volunteers and the strength of the local community network, recalling the importance of remembrance work, particularly for national and local cohesion.

For their part, representatives of the patriotic associations highlighted the quality of the partnership built over several years with the ACSPMG. After the presentation of the reports, all of which were unanimously adopted, voting members proceeded to renew the board, which was re-elected in its entirety, signaling shared trust and a determination to pursue ongoing projects.

The elected members are therefore: Nicolas Moulin, president, Alain Maurin, secretary, Joel Sicard, treasurer, and the sector delegates (Jean Baptiste Graffin, Daniel Baert, Joel Ory, Franck Roncaglia, flag bearers of the cadets de la gendarmerie).

"These coming years promise to be intense regarding memorial and heritage projects, in close collaboration with our partners. There is no shortage of themes, and requests are starting to pour in. Two new heritage spaces will be created within the groupement de la gendarmerie mobile at the caserne Delort in Hyères and within the Maison du combattant in Toulon, where spaces will also be dedicated to the heritage of the gendarmerie," added Nicolas Moulin.

Finally, the meeting concluded with a moment dedicated to discussions between veterans, young cadets, and institutional representatives, illustrating the intergenerational mission of the association.
