Prevented by the electoral reserve from drawing up a balance sheet or outlining future prospects, the mayor highlighted the achievements of the year 2025 and the deep-seated attachment to local history. While the legislation prohibits the outgoing candidate from evoking his succession or the record of the past term, the mayor did not fail to emphasize the pride felt by his team, promising with humor that this constraint would have "a significant advantage: I will be shorter than usual."

TRIBUTE TO TALENTS The speech was one of recognition. Recognition towards the local figures who make the municipality shine, like Hervé Poncharal, boss of the Tech3 team in Moto GP, or the female athletes of Team CAP ou PAS CAP (Rallye Roses des Sables) and Cloe Devictor, French judo champion.

But 2025 was above all the year of reclaiming heritage. The mayor mentioned the creation of the Jardin du Mimosa, located under the boulevard du Soleil. This educational site, offering unique perspectives on the village, pays tribute to Léon Chommeton, iconic mayor of the two world wars.

"A municipality that is focused on its future is first and foremost a municipality that does not forget its past," he stated, citing the World War II tunnels at Notre-Dame de Constance and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the museum (MHAB), associating municipal staff with this record, praising their work and a remarkable female employment rate of 62%.

He thanked his colleagues from the Porte des Maures intercommunality for their constructive action. In a more personal conclusion, he paid warm tribute to his wife Violaine and his family, before thanking the Borméens for their patience during the works: "All these works pull our municipality upwards; they are guarantees for the future."

PLEASE NOTE... A BUSY YEAR 2025 IN ACHIEVEMENTS: • Living environment and roads: The rehabilitation of the Voie Romaine (€1.2 million), the renovation of the avenue des Mimosas in la Favière, and the ongoing transformation of the traverse "dei Limbert". • Youth and Education: Investments in schools (thermal and acoustic renovation) and obtaining, after a hard struggle, the opening of a 9th class in the nursery school, ensuring comfortable class sizes.

• Security and Environment: 50% of the public lighting network has switched to LED, and a strategic study on mooring areas (ZMEL) is underway to protect posidonia meadows.
