Alain Maurin receives the official standard-bearer insignia
In an atmosphere of respect and recognition, Alain Maurin received the official standard-bearer insignia for 30 years of service to the Nation.
For more than three decades, Alain Maurin, a retired chief warrant officer of the gendarmerie living in Carnoules, has passionately dedicated himself to actions aimed at preserving the memory of combatants and honoring republican values. His role as president, secretary, and then standard-bearer at multiple patriotic and commemorative gatherings has made him a respected and appreciated volunteer in the community association world.
His commitment goes far beyond simple appearances at ceremonies. He embodies a discreet but effective coordinator in organizing commemorations, educational visits, and local initiatives to keep the history of the veteran world alive.
OFFICIAL DISTINCTION The ceremony took place following the general assembly of veterans (AVACM) of Carnoules, during which the reports were unanimously approved. The highlight of the morning was the presentation of the official standard-bearer insignia for 30 years of service to the Nation, accompanied by the official diploma signed by the Minister Delegate in charge of Remembrance and Veterans. This distinction highlights not only the longevity of Alain Maurin's commitment, but also the impact of his actions in service of a living memory shared with younger generations.
At the same time, the Souvenir Français diploma and the Vermeil medal were awarded to Jean-Paul Girard in recognition of services rendered. The decoration was presented to Alain Maurin by Nicolas Moulin, president of the association pour le Patrimoine de la Gendarmerie, of which Alain is an active member as secretary, in the presence of Joël Sicard, treasurer, and the president of AVACM, Brigitte NOCERA.
Nicolas Moulin praised the loyalty, integrity, and spirit of service that characterize Alain Maurin's journey: "Your unwavering commitment within the veteran association world has brought meaning to many ceremonies and inspired everyone's respect," he declared to the assembly, drawing warm applause. GRATITUDE OF THE NATION Nicolas Moulin added: "The diploma signed by the Minister Delegate in charge of Remembrance and Veterans (Patricia Miralles in office when the file was presented through the ONAC GV) is of particular importance.
It is not just an official document. It represents the Nation's gratitude to a man who, for thirty years, has held high the republican colors and values. This dual recognition — associative and state — illustrates the balance between local action and national scope that Alain Morin's commitment has managed to create."
Continuing his tribute, the president of the ACSPMG went on: "Alain Maurin's commitment is not limited to his role as standard-bearer. He participates in educational activities with schools, restoration projects for memorial monuments, and leading activities related to history. He is secretary of the ACSPMG, whose action shines throughout France."
"By presenting him with this distinction, the Nation recognizes his patriotic commitment but also affirms the importance of the intergenerational transmission of historical memory. This tribute reflects the deep commitment of a dedicated man and the collective gratitude of a community towards those who work tirelessly to keep our values and our history alive," concluded the gendarmerie warrant officer.
