Le Petit Casino de la Favière wins the Challenge Marée 2025
Le Petit Casino of the La Favière neighborhood, run by Mélissa and Mathieu Demangel, won the national prize of the Challenge Marée 2025 for its display...

This is a prestigious recognition for the Bormes local convenience store. For its 10th consecutive year, "PAVILLON France", the collective brand of French fishery products, organized its famous Challenge Marée. The objective of this event is to reward the most beautiful displays of large retail brands. The novelty of the 2025 edition lay in opening the competition to local convenience stores, thus offering a unique showcase for local merchants.
LOGISTICAL INVESTMENT

While the French fishery offer is rich in its diversity, it sometimes suffers from a lack of shelf visibility. The challenge aims precisely to correct this deficit. Among the 114 supermarkets and hypermarkets in the running this year in France, 20 applications came from convenience stores. It is in this category that the Petit Casino of the La Favière neighborhood in Bormesles-Mimosas distinguished itself. Managed by Mathieu Demangel and his wife Mélissa, the establishment was awarded the national prize of the challenge. A well-deserved reward. Indeed, this distinction crowns five years of constant effort during the autumn period, from September to early December. For the young and dynamic manager, this is a real marketing operation orchestrated with precision: communication via flyers, posters and social networks, but above all fundamental work on the ground. The logistics are demanding: order monitoring, reception of the purchasing center's truck at 2 a.m., and immediate setup of the display and decor. Pre-orders of fish, shellfish and prepared dishes are then processed before the arrival of the first customers, often generating a queue in front of the store. "For this sale to also be effective and attractive with original ideas for a customer base loyal to this operation, we must also work on the ice structure for a better presentation," explains, as a true enthusiast, Mélissa Demangel.
SALON DE L'AGRICULTURE

During the three months of the operation, the "Marée" teams of the various participating brands competed with talent to showcase the products under the "PAVILLON France" banner. Thanks to their creativity, Mathieu and Mélissa Demangel will be honored during an official national reception organized during the next Salon de l'Agriculture, at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. Beyond the seafood counter, the young management couple regularly invests themselves in boosting the life of the neighborhood. In another style of promotion and loyalty-building, the Petit Casino de la Favière organized a grand raffle during the end-of-year holidays, from last November 21 to December 31. The first prize, a gold Louis d'or coin, as well as bottles of champagne, were put into play. The draw, carried out by young Maëline, designated the three winners of this festive operation which delighted the local clientele. Another wonderful initiative that deserves to be congratulated!
