A digital laboratory open to all
In Cuers, a new space dedicated to digital technology has just opened its doors.
ADANOVA 83, an association under the 1901 law chaired by Frédéric Comyn, with Jean Luc Gaignepain as vice-president, aims to make technology accessible to as many people as possible, from children to seniors. Set up in operational premises at 524 rue de la création, the association offers a wide range of workshops: programming, robotics, electronics, CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting, computer repair, and smartphone initiation. Children from the age of 9 discover coding and robotics, while adults and seniors benefit from workshops tailored to their needs.
A specialized engineer will soon host sessions on artificial intelligence.
The laboratory has a substantial pool of equipment, largely consisting of donations from local businesses. In particular, the company Thot 3D donated four 3D printers. "Companies are playing along, which is invaluable for us," emphasizes Jean-Luc Gaignepain.
The association also wishes to become a prototyping site for individuals and professionals, with the possibility of renting the machines on site.
ADANOVA 83 operates thanks to a team of about ten volunteer instructors. A hiring is planned this summer in order to extend the opening hours, currently limited to Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday remains the preferred time to meet all the instructors and discover the activities.
The annual membership fee is set at €30, and the half-yearly workshops range from €100 to €180.
The association boasts a friendly atmosphere, based on exchange and the sharing of skills, in an intergenerational spirit. In short, the association is already establishing itself as a new digital player, open to all those who wish to learn, create, or simply understand today's technologies.
