After reviewing the ten non-commissioned officers and the two voluntary deputy gendarmes, Major Rival Morales, commander of the gendarmerie brigade, presented his unit's 2025 activity in the presence of François de Canson, mayor of La Londe-les-Maures. According to the gendarmerie, statistics show activity overall similar to last year, with 554 interventions, including 206 at night, representing 38% of the total.
A QUIET TOWN

"We note, however, a significant drop in custody cases, which went from 59 in 2024 to 45 in 2025. This evolution is explained by a decrease in general delinquency in the municipality. Indeed, 432 offenses were recorded in 2025 compared to 550 in 2024, a drop of 21%! These excellent figures prove that La Londe remains a quiet town," recalled the mayor, with satisfaction. The first magistrate added: "This is the result of the professionalism of the gendarmes, but also of the joint work we carry out daily with all security actors. The effective network of our video protection and the very good coordination with our Police municipale are also a strength for the town." Still according to the gendarmerie, intentional physical assaults are down sharply, with 54 cases in 2025 compared to 90 in 2024, a drop of nearly 50%, and an elucidation rate of 92%. Property offenses are also down, from 253 to 195 cases, with a particularly marked decline in burglaries, totaling 19 over the year, a decrease in vehicle thefts and damage. Thus, over the year 2025, the brigade can boast 174 solved cases, representing a resolution rate of 40%. Conversely, recorded traffic offenses are up, a consequence of the increased presence of gendarmes on the ground, rising from 503 to 589. Addressing the gendarmes and municipal police officers, the mayor concluded: "The work of our security forces, their constant presence and their flawless involvement, whether in prevention or intervention on the ground, are particularly appreciated by our citizens and by our municipality. Your commitment allows La Londe and its residents to feel legitimately well protected."
