The mayor of La Londe-les-Maures chose to celebrate what, in his view, constitutes the true wealth of this territory "blessed by the Gods": its talents. For the first magistrate: "La Londe is not just a place where we live. It is a place that lives within us, a land where excellence is cultivated and passed down."

GOLDEN TERROIR This excellence is first and foremost embodied in the local economic fabric, where rigor and passion are regularly rewarded. François de Canson was keen to praise the boulangerie Juléo, located on avenue Clemenceau. Already distinguished last year for its baguettes, the establishment saw its pissaladière and its galette des rois award-winning by the Syndicat des boulangers du Var.

Artistic and technical craftsmanship is not to be outdone. Albertino Da Silva, an expert mechanic based in the Carrubier district, received the prestigious title of Maître Artisan from the hands of Roland Rolfo, president of the Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat du Var. A distinction that highlights flawless professionalism.

On the local produce side, agriculture in La Londe continues to shine brightly. Olive grower Olivier Roux achieved an exceptional harvest at the Salon International de l'Agriculture 2025, bringing back five medals from the Concours Général Agricole, including four gold. For François de Canson, these winemakers and farmers are the "guardians of a precious balance between tradition and modernly", carrying the name of the commune far beyond its borders.

FUTURE ASSURED While traditions are alive and well, the next generation is secured by an ambitious youth shining on all fronts. Sports in La Londe enjoyed a successful year thanks to exceptional athletes. The mayor paid a warm tribute to Sébastien Cimolino.

In adapted swimming, this champion made a lasting impression by becoming French champion, gold medalist, and national record holder in his category, embodying "a determination that commands respect."

On the greens, precocity competes with talent in Camille Min Gaultier. At just 19 years old, she won a silver medal at the European Golf Championship with the French team. A winning momentum that is also found in team sports with the young volleyball players of the Volley Club Hyères-Pierrefeu-La Londe.

The excellence of youth is also expressed in the mastery of trades. Agathe Jouvenel, French runner-up at the WorldSkills competition in graphic design, showcases local creativity on a national level.

Beyond the performances, it is the attachment to the Provençal identity that François de Canson highlighted, citing the Lou Suve association and its Mistralian town project. These initiatives reinforce this "village spirit" dear to the inhabitants, where "every individual success becomes a collective pride."

In conclusion, he recalled that these talents bear witness to a municipality where social bonds and transmission remain cardinal values.
