"Avril en Famille" offers activities for all ages and tastes.
With the spring school holidays approaching, the Ville reaffirms its status as a family destination by presenting a dense and eclectic program of activities. From April 5 to 29, the event offers a multitude of sports, cultural, creative, and fun activities, designed to entertain both children and adults and create unforgettable memories.
EGG HUNT
Les festivités débutent le dimanche 5 avril avec la traditionnelle Grande Chasse aux Œufs de Pâques. De 9h30 à 17h30, les jardins de la Maison de la Nature se transforment en un vaste terrain de jeu pour les jeunes chercheurs de trésors chocolatés. Cet événement, accessible sur inscription au tarif de 5€, marque le coup d'envoi des vacances. Le week-end pascal se poursuit le lundi 6 avril avec des animations thématiques à la Maison de la Nature, incluant de jeux traditionnels en bois le vendredi 24 avril. Une grande kermesse est également prévue le mardi 21 avril. Pour les plus sportifs, la Direction des Sports et de la Vie Associative organise un Village Sportif Multi Activités au Complexe Henry Gros les lundis 13, jeudis 16 et lundis 20 avril, de 10h à 17h. Un programme d'animations riche et varié pour les familles.
CREATIVITY IN THE SPOTLIGHT
The Espace Archéologique of the Médiathèque offers a series of workshops for curious young minds. "Les Ateliers du Petit Archéologue" allow children to learn about Gallic pottery (April 14 and 21), making primitive necklaces (April 15 and 22), cave paintings (April 16 and 23), or mosaics (April 17 and 24). Registration is required for these workshops. Creative souls can let their imaginations run wild during customization workshops led by Fabiola on Thursdays, April 16 and 23. Video game lovers are not left out with "gaming" areas (PS5, Nintendo Switch, arcade cabinets) set up at the Maison de la Mer on Wednesday, April 15. Finally, the Médiathèque offers storytelling activities (April 15 and 22) as well as a show for young audiences, "Mr Trombone au pays des sons", on Wednesday, April 22. The program also highlights outdoor discoveries and contact with animals. A mini-farm will set up on the parvis of the Maison de la Mer on Saturday, April 25, where children can get up close to and pet goats, rabbits, and sheep. Pony rides are offered on the same day. The day before, Friday, April 24, donkey rides will be organized on the Promenade de la Mer. The Maison de la Nature will be the starting point for numerous themed walks and lectures, notably on arachnids (April 25) or the geological history of the Géoparc (April 29).
