Bertrand Carletti: "Overcoming divisions to unite the Lavandourains"

The "Énergies Lavandouraines" list led by the new mayor won the election with 53.52% of the votes, thus obtaining 24 seats on the municipal council. The solemn moment of installation was marked by strong emotion when the dean of the council, Marie-France Coste, presented the tricolor sash to the mayor. In his first speech, Bertrand Carletti, a local child, thanked his running mates, the department directors, and the municipal employees, as well as his relatives for their unwavering support. He also had words of gratitude for his predecessor, Gil Bernardi, with whom there were many political battles. "We crossed swords for years, but on this day, my thoughts are with his commitment, recognizing the work he accomplished over 31 years," he declared, in a gesture of appeasement and republican respect.

DAY OF GATHERING

Affirming his desire for this day to be "a day of gathering, a day of communion," Bertrand Carletti presented the broad lines of his project for Le Lavandou. "Today, it is about overcoming all divisions. We must find ourselves united so that the mandate entrusted to us can enable the 'Énergies Lavandouraines' project to be implemented," he insisted, describing his program as "ambitious, courageous, and structuring." To achieve this, the new mayor announced the implementation of local democracy. Neighborhood committees will be created to report the specific needs of each sector of the municipality. This participatory approach aims to involve residents in decisions concerning upcoming major structural operations and investments, thus ensuring transparency and collective buy-in for municipal projects. The opposition is represented by six elected officials. The "Regain" list, which garnered 39.57% of the votes, obtained five seats. Nicolas Cool, from the "Un avenir partagé" list, occupies the last seat. Through Nathalie Janet, the minority expressed its wish for "real collective work" and active participation in the various committees, also suggesting the department's support for local projects. The ceremony concluded with the presentation and delivery of sashes to the eight new deputy mayors who make up the municipal executive alongside Bertrand Carletti: Pascaline Amigues (1st deputy), François Bonifacio (2nd deputy), Joan Bertaudon (3rd deputy), Julien Mancardi (4th deputy), Dalila Boulkhenafet (5th deputy), Geoffroy Farnocchia (6th deputy), Dominique Marmier (7th deputy), and Olivier Dardenne (8th deputy).
