Established researchers take the stage

The Théâtre Liberté, scène nationale de Toulon, hosted this friendly and free evening. Whether a science enthusiast or simply curious, it was an opportunity to discover research from a new angle and exchange with those who do it on a daily basis. First of all, with "Ma Recherche en 360 secondes", established researchers took the stage. Thus, seven doctoral students and five teacher-researchers took up the challenge of presenting their work in just a few minutes, in a format accessible to all: scientific stand-up. Then, with "Ma Thèse en 180 secondes", it was the turn of the doctoral students' challenge. Seven young researchers had three minutes on the clock to explain their work: from antimicrobial bio-coatings to the mysteries of Martian soil, through the economic issues of the Méditerranée and digital transformation. A demanding exercise in style, but above all, a unique opportunity to discover the diversity of research conducted at the Université with simplicity and humor. Two candidates are selected to represent Toulon during the regional final Sud et Corse, on April 28, in Marseille, one by a jury of experts, the other by the public.
