Stéphane Rambaud, MP for the 3rd constituency of Var, welcomed the inauguration of the new IMASUD medical imaging center in Hyères, a modern hub strengthening access to quality healthcare for the local area.

The medical landscape of the Toulon metropolis has been enriched by a state-of-the-art facility. The Var MP was present at the inauguration of the center, a major project designed to improve healthcare services for local residents.

This setup is seen as a sign of local dynamism and a concrete response to the growing diagnostic needs of the population. The new hub was designed to ensure optimal care conditions, combining patient comfort, procedural safety, and high-quality examinations.

It represents an important step in the development of an accessible, high-performing local healthcare network.

A comprehensive and versatile technical platform

At the heart of this new center lies a comprehensive technical platform, bringing together a wide range of latest-generation equipment on a single site. The internal layout was designed to streamline care pathways and optimize collaboration between specialists.

The hub is divided into two main platforms. The first is dedicated to sectional imaging, incorporating an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and a CT scanner, essential tools for precise diagnoses across numerous pathologies.

The second platform is devoted to conventional and specialized radiology. It offers a complete range of technologies: radiography, ultrasound, mammography for breast cancer screening, bone densitometry for measuring bone density, as well as advanced equipment such as Cone Beam, dental panoramic, and the EOS system for full-body standing skeletal imaging.

Interventional procedures (biopsies, injections) are also performed there.

A major issue for the region

For Stéphane Rambaud, the creation of this center goes far beyond a simple equipment installation: "This is a direct contribution to a major issue for the region. Access to care and the quality of our healthcare system are essential issues for our territories. Such facilities are crucial to strengthening the local healthcare network and effectively meeting the expectations of patients and referring physicians alike. The development of structures like this one contributes to this momentum and to improving local healthcare services."
