This date recalls a fundamental truth that must guide everyone's actions: "The Republic is never acquired once and for all. It is built, defended, and passed on, generation after generation."
Tribute to fighters and driving forces
Thus, elected officials paid a strong tribute to the veterans present, recalling the heavy toll paid by the municipalities of Var during past conflicts.
This tribute was extended to all those who, today, ensure the safety and well-being of citizens, from firefighters to public service agents, including soldiers, gendarmes, and police officers.
