SAGEM has distributed nearly €10,000 to seven associations in the Romain-Rolland neighborhood to support their local projects.
The Société Anonyme Gardéenne d’Économie Mixte has strengthened its commitment to the Romain-Rolland neighborhood by allocating a budget of €9,998 to seven local actors.
On June 19, the Société Anonyme Gardéenne d’Économie Mixte (SAGEM) organized a grant award ceremony on Place de la Fraternité, demonstrating its support for the community network of the Romain-Rolland neighborhood.
An initiative for social connection
This event was part of the Contrat de Ville, a state program aimed at reducing social and territorial inequalities in priority neighborhoods.
The SAGEM initiative serves to promote and encourage local projects that bring life to the neighborhood, improve the living environment, and strengthen social connection among residents.
CONCRETE PROJECTS
For this 2026 edition, a budget of €9,998 was distributed among seven associations. The selection of these organizations was based on the relevance of their projects and their impact on the community. "The supported actions cover a wide range of areas considered essential: education, access to culture, health prevention, the development of sports, and the promotion of citizenship," explains Charles Ignatoff, general manager of SAGEM.
"This financial aid is a decisive lever for the winning associations. It gives them the means to implement various and essential actions for the neighborhood, such as homework help for the youngest, the organization of cultural events open to all, the setting up of awareness workshops on public health issues, or the development of sports activities for the youth," adds Hélène Arnaud-Bill, the town mayor.
A common commitment
The ceremony took place in the presence of several political and institutional figures, whose participation highlighted the joint commitment of different levels in favor of priority neighborhoods.
This mobilization demonstrated the strategic importance given to community vitality, considered a key driver of social development and territorial cohesion. By financially supporting these initiatives, SAGEM and its public partners reaffirm their desire to boost local life and fight against social divides.
