The gymnasium climbing wall gets a makeover
After four weeks of work, the climbing wall at Le Pradet gymnasium has been modernized for more routes and safety.

Climbing enthusiasts have reason to celebrate. Over the summer, the municipal gymnasium's climbing wall underwent a makeover, transforming it into a more modern and safer facility capable of welcoming more athletes for the new season.
Performance and safety
For four weeks, the specialized company The Climbing Wall led this modernization project. The investment, amounting to nearly €40,000 excluding tax, aimed to improve practicing conditions for all users and reinforce the facility's safety standards.
The wall's capacity was increased, now featuring ten climbing lines compared to eight previously. This gain allows two additional climbers to scale the wall simultaneously, reducing waiting times.
New routes for all levels
In parallel, brand-new routes were created. The difficulty range now spans from level 4a, suitable for beginners, up to 6B, offering a demanding technical challenge for experienced climbers.

An evolution immediately praised by Hugo, 9 years old, a member of the Amicale Laïque.
There are more routes and several of us can climb at the same time. It's really great, especially when you come with friends
An enthusiasm shared by the municipality, which spearheaded the project. For Agnès Biasutto, deputy for sports, the renovation was designed to encourage everyone's progress.
The design of the new routes was carefully planned to allow all skill levels to progress and try out some rather technical routes!
With this renovated facility, Le Pradet confirms its commitment to sports for all and offers its climbers a tool that meets their vertical ambitions.
