The Port des Oursinières was adorned in its finest attire on July 4 to celebrate the traditional Fête de la Saint-Pierre.

An essential summer event on the calendar, the day delivered on all its promises, gathering in a warm atmosphere residents of Le Pradet, passing visitors, and holidaymakers around the rich Mediterranean heritage.

Activities for everyone

Thus, the port quays experienced lively activity. The public, with family or friends, enjoyed a varied program.

The paddleboard initiations, supervised by municipal sports instructors, were a great success with board sports enthusiasts eager to discover the bay from another angle.

A little further on, the clinking of boules paced the fierce games of the pétanque tournament, orchestrated by the Sporting Boulomanes Pradétans in a spirit of true camaraderie.

The show was also on the water with the Provençal water jousts. Offered by the Francs Jouteurs de Saint-Mandrier, these spectacular confrontations captivated the audience, offering a tribute to ancestral traditions and the maritime identity of the Var territory.

TRADITIONS

The most solemn moment was the procession of Saint-Pierre. This tribute to the patron saint of fishermen illustrated the municipality's attachment to its history, its roots, and to those who make their living from the sea. A moment of contemplation that united all generations.

At the end of the ceremony, the port transformed into a large open-air guinguette. Between the offers of restaurateurs, food trucks, the large sardinade, and the refreshment bar run by the Comité des Fêtes, the flavors of the Mediterranean were in the spotlight.

The evening continued late into the night to the sound of the traditional baléti of Saint-Pierre. This beautiful day once again confirmed the place of the Saint-Pierre as a flagship summer event in Le Pradet.
