In Le Pradet, the Municipality is continuing its investments in services and the modernization of buildings. Nearly 1,000 students returned to the classrooms of nursery and elementary schools, divided between the Charles Sandro and Marcel Pagnol public school groups, as well as the Sainte-Bernadette private establishment.

To mark this day, the mayor, Hervé Stassinos, accompanied by Graziella Piras, deputy delegate for Education, toured the establishments. This visit was an opportunity to discuss with parents, educational teams, and municipal staff, and to wish everyone an excellent year, praising the commitment of the professionals mobilized daily for the well-being of the children.

Strengthened supervision

In public nursery schools, each class benefits from the presence of a Specialized Territorial Assistant for Nursery Schools (ATSEM). In total, 11 assistants are deployed, six at the Charles Sandro school and five at Marcel Pagnol. Their role is considered essential for the reception, autonomy, and well-being of the children.

The range of activities offered during the lunch break is designed as a time for awakening and discovery. Students can sign up for workshops ranging from musical awakening to dance, sports, gardening, sophrology, and even science workshops, aimed at stimulating their curiosity and creativity.

The system is complemented by extracurricular reception services. In the morning, the municipal daycare is open from 7:30 am to 8:20 am and welcomes an average of around one hundred children. In the evening, the reception managed by the Odel Var association takes over from 4:30 pm to 6:45 pm for approximately 200 students each day.

Modernization and energy transition

This summer, the City carried out improvement works in the school buildings. At the Charles Sandro school, several classrooms had their window frames replaced, thus offering better thermal and acoustic comfort to students and teaching staff.

In the longer term, the municipality is continuing its energy renovation approach for its built heritage. An energy audit of the Charles Sandro school group will be carried out, as the company in charge of the study has been selected. This analysis will make it possible to define an action plan for future insulation and energy optimization works on the building.
