A sporting challenge for a good cause
The 2026 edition of La Pradétane brought together over 450 participants to fight violence against women.

On September 13, the parc nature du Plan vibred to the rhythm of a sporting and solidarity mobilization. The 2026 edition of La Pradétane, an exclusively female run and walk, brought together over 450 participants, volunteers, and partners, all united for a major cause: the fight against violence against women.
A sporting and solidarity mobilization
Organized by the Club de Cap Garonne, the event turned physical effort into a powerful message of support and awareness. Over a 6.5-kilometer course, participants had the choice between running and walking.
Each at her own pace, they covered the tracks and paths, crossing shaded undergrowth and wide natural open spaces. More than a simple competition, the event took place in an atmosphere of friendliness and shared commitment. The main thing was not the stopwatch, but participating in a collective movement aimed at shedding light on an often silent social reality.
A pleasant and symbolic setting
The choice of the parc nature du Plan offered a setting both pleasant and symbolic for this morning. Far from the asphalt, the runners and walkers enjoyed a soothing environment, reinforcing the positive and constructive character of the event.

The course, accessible to as many people as possible, brought together seasoned female athletes as well as amateurs, all driven by the desire to advance the cause.
Funds donated to CIDFF du Var
Beyond the mobilization, La Pradétane fulfilled its financial goal. The funds raised during this edition were donated to the Centre d’Information sur les Droits des Femmes et des Familles (CIDFF) du Var.
This non-profit structure plays a crucial role in the region by providing reception, information, legal and psychological support, as well as prevention actions for women victims of violence. Thanks to this initiative, CIDFF du Var will be able to strengthen its resources to continue offering essential support to those in need.
