A dialogue between eras and residents
The City has launched “Fêter le territoire”, an event to explore its history and heritage until October 21.

This autumn, La Farlède invites its residents and visitors to take a new look at what makes the soul of its territory. Through an unprecedented program entitled “Fêter le territoire, habiter hier et aujourd’hui”, the municipality offers an immersion into its history, landscapes, and collective memory.
This first edition is intended to be a time for sharing and reconnecting with the village's roots. The ambition is to build strong links between the past, present, and future of La Farlède.
It is not just about contemplating heritage, but about bringing it to life and questioning it. By crossing perspectives and eras, the event seeks to reveal how yesterday's legacy continues to shape today's life and inspire tomorrow's. It is an invitation to explore the layers of local memory, from familiar landscapes to forgotten stories, to better understand the identity of the territory.

The project's philosophy is based on the concept of “commons”, those tangible and intangible assets that unite a community.
A dialogue between tradition and modernity
More than just a geographical space, a territory is defined by its history, landscapes, memories, and know-how. It is on this premise that the Municipalité built a program that brings the most tangible heritage into dialogue with the latest innovations.
This initiative proposes to rediscover the shared riches that forge local identity and strengthen social ties. By combining culture, environment, and citizenship, the festival explores the multiple facets of La Farlède.
One of the highlights of this edition is a bold exhibition where local archives are brought back to life using artificial intelligence, offering a fresh and dynamic perspective on the past. This approach illustrates the city's desire not only to preserve its memory, but to make it alive and accessible to all, particularly new generations.
The festival, which began as part of the Journées Européennes du Patrimoine, offers a dense program. The public can attend a unique live show, built from the testimonies and life stories of the Farlédois. Audio trails and heritage walks invite a sensitive exploration of the village's streets and landscapes.
Music is not left behind, with concerts by the Ensemble vocal Poly-Sons resonating in the historic setting of the Chapelle de la Trinité. Reflection on major contemporary issues also holds a prominent place, notably through meetings with the geographer Damien Deville and participatory workshops on sustainable food and social ties.
Thinking about the future to better inhabit the present
Beyond celebrating the past, “Fêter le Territoire” is intended to be a space for collective reflection on the future. An evening dedicated to territorial resilience will close a cycle of meetings and exchanges.
The event aims to equip citizens to face the ecological and social transitions to come. By blending the memory of yesterday with the challenges of today, La Farlède offers a cultural experience that invites everyone to become an actor in their territory.

“A territory is a history, landscapes, know-how, memories, but also commons: those shared riches that create links between generations and residents. This approach places citizens at the heart of the process, encouraging them to take ownership of their environment and become actors in its promotion,” stresses the Municipalité.
In short, it is a celebration of the farlédoise identity, an opportunity to strengthen the sense of belonging and share a moment of conviviality. A poetic and concrete way to remember that we do not only inhabit a place, but also a shared history and culture.
