Florian Oltra rewarded for the best apple tart in Var

The know-how of artisan baker-pastry chef Florian Oltra is once again in the spotlight. Already award-winning for the quality of his baguettes, he won first prize in June in the competition for the best apple tart in Var for the year 2026.

This distinction, which praises the excellence and creativity of a recognized professional, was officially presented to the artisan in his shop in Le Lavandou.

Artisanal excellence

It was Vincent Tachot, vice-president of the syndicat des boulangers du Var, who presented the prize to the winner, in the presence of Joan Bertaudon, deputy for tourism of the municipality, and Candela Oltra, wife and valuable collaborator of the artisan. The union representative wanted to emphasize Florian Oltra's consistency in the quest for quality.

“Florian Oltra very often participates in the competitions we organize to promote the work of our professionals. Let's note that he is regularly on the podium, both for his professionalism and for his particularly varied and original sweet and savory productions, like this tart which, thanks to its puff pastry, also allows for a different presentation,” emphasized Vincent Tachot.

A motivation to continue

For the pastry chef, this prize is an encouragement to continue on the path of innovation while respecting tradition. He expressed his gratitude to those who support him on a daily basis.
