Welcome eco-citizen initiatives this summer!

PLEASE NOTE... After last year's event, where over 10,000 cigarette butts and 1,300 caps were collected in just two hours by around twenty participants, the association is preparing to repeat and surpass this initiative.

CONCRETE AND MEASURABLE IMPACT During a recent collection, the association dropped off 80 kg of scrap metal and 14 kg of aluminum, including 2,777 caps and 470 cans, at the scrap dealer. This initiative raised €18.40, which was donated to the association Knetpartage, which supports projects for children with disabilities or illnesses.

Chercheurs en herbe aims to go further by setting up waste collection points in and around Toulon. Thanks to the help of their recycling partners, the association hopes to strengthen its actions regarding waste reduction and sorting.

Since its creation, Chercheurs en herbe has strived to democratize science and make it accessible to everyone. Through fun and educational activities, the association encourages experimentation, debate, and reflection. Notably developing critical thinking, civic engagement, and respect for the immediate environment, while also laying the foundations for a more sustainable and respectful future for our planet.

By joining forces, we can not only improve our immediate environment, but also lay the foundations for a more sustainable and respectful future for our planet.

• "Flash mégots": This year, chercheurs en herbe is offering two cigarette butt collection actions: • Thursday, July 25 at 6 p.m., on Place de la Liberté in Toulon. • Thursday, August 29 at 6 p.m., at the port of Toulon.
