Every year, families, firefighters, comités communaux de feux de forêt, elected officials of the municipalities of Bormes-les-Mimosas, La Londe-les-Maures, Le Lavandou and Cuers gather at this site to honor these firefighters who died in action. COMMITMENT AND INVOLVEMENT "As vice-president of the Région, in charge of major risks, I know the commitment of our firefighters and the risks faced by this profession. With President Muselier, through the Guerre du Feu plan, structured around three axes: Prevent, Fight and Rebuild, we have committed 35 million € since 2018.
The battle I have fought for 5 years to obtain the return of the pelicandrome to the base de Hyères should further improve firefighting resources. For this season, I know that our firefighters are already heavily mobilized, and their involvement has already been total in the Vidauban fire. I want to express my deep gratitude to them for the fight they lead every day to protect people and property, and to safeguard our natural heritage,” declared François de Canson at the end of the ceremony on June 21.

During this commemoration, a minute of silence was observed in tribute to the deceased firefighters, before moving to the stele of Patrick Nolleveaux where a wreath-laying was carried out by François Arizzi, by adjudant-chef Mario and the family of Patrick Nolleveaux for whom a moment of silence was respected in his memory.
