Elected officials, guarantors of the territory's authenticity
257 municipalities received the 'Villes et Villages Fleuris' Quality of Life Label in the Sud region, with François de Canson in attendance.
On June 21, at the Hôtel de Région in Marseille, under the aegis of François de Canson, president of the Comité Régional de Tourisme Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (CRT), the regional awards ceremony for the 2023 list took place during the Regional Promotion Day of the "Villes & Villages Fleuris - Qualité de vie" Label. More than 50 elected officials were present for this event, which shows that the region is committed to the well-being of its inhabitants.
WELL-BEING
François de Canson, president of the CRT, recalled: "The 'Villes et Villages Fleuris' Quality of Life Label enhances the living environment and the attractiveness of our municipalities. It embodies well-being. It highlights our heritage and our environment. It rewards a sustainable and responsible development policy. In their municipalities, on a daily basis, mayors and their teams do remarkable work. They thus contribute to the economic, residential, and tourist attractiveness of our region. They must do so while respecting the authenticity of our territory and ensuring the quality of public spaces." For the year 2023, the 'Villes & Villages Fleuris' Quality of Life awards in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur distinguish 257 municipalities. It rewards the municipalities that best meet the following 7 major evaluation criteria: the Jury's visit, the implementation of the municipal project, the animation and promotion of the development process, plant heritage and flowering, environmental management, the quality of public space, and analysis by space. •
The 2023 Awards in Var:
Several municipalities are joining the regional awards list with the award of their first Flower (La Martre and Le Muy). La Verdière obtains a 2-Flower label. Pierrefeu-du-Var obtains the 3-Flower label. Some municipalities maintain their 1-Flower label (Bagnols-en-Forêt, Fayence, Les Mayons, Moissac-Bellevue). Others maintain their 2-Flower label (Callas, Le Plan-de-la Tour). Several municipalities maintain their 3-Flower label (Bandol, Fréjus, Le Cannet des Maures, La Seyne-sur-Mer).
